Introduction

This guide will explain how to save the alarm log for the purpose of sending to engineering. The manufacturer password needs to be entered to retrieve the alarm log.

Step 1 VMCsi & TCsi: Saving Alarm Log

This works on all Si products.
[Diagnostics] → [Alarm Log] → [Save Log]
This will save a time-stamped copy of the alarm log as a .txt file within the control.

Step 2 Access Saved Log

To view HMI folder, key must be in access level 2 or higher.

[Setup] → [System data] → [HMI data] → [Logs] → [Alarm Log] → [Copy]

Select a Storage Device (USB Top or Bottom) → Paste.
The Alarm Log should save as a .txt file to the selected storage device.
Send the log to Customer Service. Please reference a case number if one has been generated.
