Remove power from mill.

This guide is for 4th Axis servo drive replacement; however, it also applies to other drives from the same manufacturer, just download a different config file.

Disconnect the data cables from the drive. Disconnect the power and control wires. Note the specific location of the 8 wires plus two ground wires.

Support the servo drive while you remove the two top screws and loosen the bottom screw that hold it in place. The servo drive then can be lifted up and out. The replacement drive can then be lowered on the remaining screw helping to support the drive. Replace the upper screws.

Return the power and control wires to the locations noted earlier, as well as the data cables.
