How to Test a Jogstick

Review the jogstick drawing and note color coded items for future steps

Note the orientation of the jogstick relative to direction of travel

Note the pinout of the jogstick connector relative to the direction of the jogstick handle

Note jogstick connector pinout. Test leads are inserted in "B" and "E" of the jogstick connector

Set the voltmeter in continuity mode as shown

Note that the voltmeter reads "OL" which means no continuity

Move jogstick handle in the X- direction

Voltmeter now reads .000 which means that there is continuity as expected

Leaving the test lead in "B", move the other test lead to "F" to test X+, to "C" to test Z+, and to "D" to test Z-
